The Sunday before I left, the kids went out in the woods to collect giant snails and palm nuts, which they ground up and use for soup.

I am not in Africa anymore

I arrived home at the end of April, and was sick with what the doctor thinks was Dengue fever. It was terrible. My whole body hurt and i had sharp stomach pains for days, along with headaches, cold sweats, and I was constantly exhausted. Luckily I’m back to normal now (I think).

Emannuel and bubbles

The kids were so fascinated by everything. This seventeen year old is loving the bubbles 🙂
